Welcome to Harlington Upper School

Harlington Upper School is a very special place. Our students progress from Year 11 to the Sixth Form, where new applicants from other schools are warmly welcomed. With over 380 students, our thriving sixth Form delivers excellent teaching and achieves outstanding outcomes. The opportunities for leadership development are vast and there is an enviable range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities on offer. There is a broad selection of subject choice available, including A Levels and BTEC’s, to allow you to pursue a path towards your chosen career, further training or university. We offer a competitive range of courses and course types which will support the interests and needs of students. All students can opt to study Core Maths in Year 12 and the Extended project qualification in Year 13. We offer students the opportunity to take The Harlington Diploma alongside your course of study. A holistic take on Sixth Form, this allows your contributions, service and academic engagement to be acknowledged and celebrated. The vast majority of students apply for university and are successful in their first choice. Students are supported in this by a team of experienced tutors, Sixth Form Studies, and a UCAS programme. For those students who intend to apply to Oxbridge, Medicine and Veterinary Science, there is tailored package. All students applying for university are eligible to apply for the Connally Foundation (financial) Award Scheme. Those students electing not to attend university are equally supported with careers advice and guidance and have been hugely successful in gaining higher level apprenticeships and employment in recent years. Our sixth Form students embody the maxim of “Ambitious, Altruistic and Accountable Leaders”. Come and join them.
