Welcome to Bishop Vesey's Grammar School

Our Sixth Form consists of students from a wide range of educational backgrounds, including those from the comprehensive, grammar and independent sectors. We admit a minimum of 80 students from other schools to our Sixth Form each year alongside a significant proportion of those students who have studied in Year 11 at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School.

Enrichment Activities

At Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School, we are committed to offering academic enrichment to all students beyond the classroom. This can be delivered through competitions, trips and clubs taking place before school, at break, lunch and after school.

Trips and Visits

Educational trips and visits enable pupils to experience life and culture beyond the classroom, and often the country. With visits locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, there is something for everyone and something new to experience.

Mandarin Excellence Programme

The Mandarin Excellence Programme is a unique yet intensive language programme which now has over 5,000 pupils from 75 schools in England on track to fluency in Mandarin Chinese. It is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by the UCL Institute of Education in partnership with the British Council. We are proud to be one of these host schools.

Sport

Sport plays a significant role at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School. In addition to the part played in the Curriculum by Physical Education, there are numerous opportunities to take part in a range of sports.
