I chose Daventry Sixth Form due to its community feel. The teachers here are extremely helpful and support students on an individual basis, whether that be study-related or anything else. They want you to work hard but also care deeply about their students’ wellbeing, which is vital during A-Levels. Having a Sixth Form block separate from the rest of the academy creates community amongst students whilst also giving us independence. It is easy to make friends due to the social facilities and there is a positive environment within the building. There is also a great extracurricular programme including many trips to prepare for post-18 study, such as university trips, apprenticeship fairs, and educational workshops.”

University
I choose Daventry Sixth Form because of the welcoming feeling. I came to E-ACT Parker Academy for secondary school so coming to the Sixth Form was always my first choice. The teachers not only provide great education, but they provide a great sense of belonging and welcoming. The staff at Sixth Form also help with the transition and are always there if any help is needed. Daventry Sixth Form also offer great routes, options and opportunities to reach future goals with university trips and apprentice fairs. There is also a designated Sixth Form area which provides room to study, allowing for a focused working environment
Enrichment Activities
Show all activitiesexperience university life alongside a current student.
All Year 12 students are supported to organise their own work experience placements. This student-led initiative develops independence, communication, and organisational skills while allowing students to choose placements that align with their aspirations.
Both academies have thriving creative arts departments, offering students opportunities to take part in music, drama, and art—whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes.
Student leadership is a key component of Sixth Form life. Students are given opportunities to take on leadership roles, represent their peers, and liaise with staff and senior leaders. These experiences build confidence, teamwork, and negotiation skills—qualities highly valued by universities and employers.
Our enrichment offer includes a wide variety of trips in the UK and abroad, including: International trips UK educational visits Disneyland Paris Annual Christmas Market Holocaust Education trip End of Year celebration trips
