Welcome to Kenton School
Kenton School has a diverse post-16 curriculum which allows students to maximise their potential through a wide range of options and opportunities.
If you are creative then we have a range of arts and performance-based subjects to choose from; for those who are aiming for university or apprenticeships we offer academic and vocational subjects. If you want to be an engineer or work in construction or a practical industry, then we can support you to make that happen!
Last year, 58 students successfully applied for university, with a similar number applying again this year. We have had a large number of students receive unconditional offers and places in Russell Group institutions. Other students have been successful in their search for apprenticeships both at higher and degree level.
One of the huge bonuses of our provision is the individualised support we can give you as a student. Not only do we push for academic excellence but we also offer excellent pastoral support through Ms Philson and the wide team of Form Tutors.
Throughout the day Sixth Form students have free access to a common room, a study room and the Sports Café. We also offer a range of additional opportunities such as the student council, World Challenge, sports teams, NE1 Can events and much more.

Enrichment Activities
Show all activitiesKenton Combined Cadet Force continues to grow from strength to strength with Year 7-10 parading. Our cadets have accessed their first weekend camp and have successfully completed emergency first aid training, part of their basic cadre which they passed with flying colours, all demonstrating leadership, organisation and communication skills, resilience and respect. If your child is interested in joining the CCF, please ask them to speak with Miss Gibson or Mr Lilley direct or they can reply to the CCF emails to join the waiting list.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) give young people the chance to do something completely new, taking them out of their comfort zone and into a place where they's push themselves and have amazing new experiences. By participating in the programme, they will build confidence, resilience, skills and new friendship groups.
Games are fun, it's no surprise that having a good time helps your mental health. But the benefits of playing Dungeons and Dragons go deeper than just fun. D&D provides an opportunity for players to be creative, work as a team, develop social-emotional skills, build confidence, and learn to express themselves.
