Welcome to Ralph Allen School

“Ralph Allen School has a thriving and successful Sixth Form. We are ambitious for our students and we provide excellent teaching across a broad range of subjects. Our outstanding results are a consequence of our unique combination of high quality teaching and tutoring, excellent facilities and a firm belief in the value of the individual. The school has consistently excellent results in the three core subjects, English, Maths and Science.
In the Sixth Form we will encourage you to develop an awareness of contemporary issues, to acquire life-long skills and to show initiative both within and outside school. We want you to strive for excellence and to be an active part of this school community.
The facilities … The Sixth Form social area is available for relaxation at break and lunchtimes. The Sixth Form team are very easy to find as the Sixth Form office is located off the Hub. The Sixth Form also have a dedicated study area within the Learning Resources Centre. We continue to consider the demands of advanced level study and to develop our resources and facilities to support independent learning in the future.
The Sixth Form Council symbolises the trust we place in our students to provide and maintain a stimulating environment. Sixth Form students feature prominently at major school events …
Every year we are always pleased to welcome new students into our Sixth Form. In our experience new students appreciate the friendly welcome they receive as they integrate quickly and successfully into our thriving and dynamic Sixth Form community.
The next step … One of the appealing aspects of continuing education beyond compulsory schooling in Year 11 is the exercise of choice — by reading this web page you will have taken an important first step in making a choice of course that is right for you. We offer a wide range of A level courses. At Ralph Allen Sixth Form Centre, we have an induction day in June and other events in September to help you to settle in to sixth form life.
