Welcome to Lymm High School

Welcome to Lymm High School Sixth FormLymm Sixth Form is a vibrant and thriving community, highly popular among students from across the region. While many of our students transition from our main school, we also welcome a good number of external students each year. If you’re thinking about applying, I strongly encourage you to visit us and experience firsthand what we have to offer. As a popular sixth form, we are fortunate to provide a broad selection of Level 3 qualifications, including over 26 A-Level courses and five BTEC programs. Our size also allows us to offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities, along with ample independence and an engaging social environment—students truly enjoy their time here.In March 2024, Ofsted rated our Sixth Form as ‘Outstanding,’ recognising that the ‘programmes of study in the Sixth Form are exceptional’ and that lessons foster ‘an atmosphere of curiosity and high-quality learning.’ With our students exhibiting ‘exceptional attitudes toward their learning,’ it’s no surprise that the progress students make is outstanding. We take pride in being a close-knit community, dedicated to fully supporting each student through this critical stage of their academic development. Our strong pastoral care ensures that every student is well-known to the Sixth Form team. This personalised attention allows us to provide tailored support and interventions where needed, helping all students achieve their potential. Ofsted highlighted that this approach prepares students well for their future career paths. We are immensely proud of our students who benefit greatly from the comprehensive support offered by our teachers. This strong combination has enabled many of our students to progress to university or high-quality training and employment. We consistently achieve impressive outcomes, with around 40% of our students’ securing places at prestigious Russell Group universities, and we send students to Oxbridge each year. Our academic results speak volumes, but they are only part of the story. Being part of Lymm High Sixth Form means receiving the very best teaching, care, support, advice, and guidance. While we have high expectations and push our students to exceed their potential, we also ensure a balanced experience with extracurricular activities and a nurturing, positive atmosphere. If you are considering applying to Lymm Sixth Form I would highly recommend you attend our Open Day which takes place in November each year and I look forward to welcoming you to our ambitious Sixth Form community.Mrs N NeesamHead of Sixth Form, Assistant Headteacher
