We have a strong track record of success in terms of academic achievement and excellence. Our curriculum is a careful blend of A level and BTEC subjects that allow our students to access the widest range of destinations, whether you are aiming for University or an apprenticeship, or even if you want to go straight into employment. Our students consistently tell us that they feel well supported by the Sixth Form team: they get the guidance they need to make informed choices, and their teachers support and challenge them every step of the way.We also recognise that your years in Sixth Form are transformative, a time when you grow into the adult you will become, so we are very proud of the fact that our Sixth Form is about more than getting the exam results you need or your destination at the end of Year 13. We have developed an exceptional Personal Development programme, encompassing enrichment, citizenship and volunteering. This programme encourages students to develop skills as diverse as DIY and learning British Sign Language, alongside bringing in inspirational speakers from a range of professions and ; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-size: 16px; text-size-adjust: 100%; vertical-align: baseline; ;">Please do get in touch with us if you have questions about life at St Margaret’s or the application process. Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Our Enrichment Programme is outstanding and will prepare you for life outside of the classroom. We will help you develop a range of life skills, such as cooking, DIY, first aid and so much more. The sixth form team handpick an inspirational range of visiting speakers to teach you about democracy and why your vote matters; how to manage your money; some of society’s biggest and most important topics – consent, keeping safe, building resilience and learning to flourish in the modern world. Of course, you’ll always have the opportunity to ask your questions and give us your point of view.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Sixth form is a time to take on more responsibility. Here at St Margaret’s, we will give you plenty of opportunity to do just that. Our Student Committee is a key voice and driver for change. The committee is absolutely vital to the running of the sixth form – the committee’s voice helps us to ensure that we are doing all we can for our students. They help us with events, fundraisers, suggesting new equipment and improvements to our facilities or even our curriculum. We do all we can to accommodate their suggestions. More recently, we’ve asked our sixth form students to take a lead role in the whole school parliament process, and they have been overseeing the lower school parliament and helping to guide our younger students in their first steps to student leadership.
