Dec 5
Applications open via www.nbp16c.org.uk on 3 October. As well as our Open Evenings and Mornings, an overview film (and full range of subject films) is available to support your decision making. See website for details.
Oct 2
From January onward, you will be invited to meet a member of the P16 team for an application discussion meeting (either face-to-face, on the telephone or via a video call). Here we will talk through your current progress and your ambitions for the future, helping you to reach secure and informed decisions about the right courses for you to study.
Jan 7
After your GCSEs finish, we will invite you in for a transition day. Here you will get the chance to experience life at the Centre and attend taster sessions for all your courses, as well as meeting other students and the P16 team. There will be a summer task to help you get ready for your courses.
Jun 24
Once you have collected your GCSE results in August, we will ask you to come and enrol with us. This will be an opportunity to discuss any changes to courses should your results contain any surprises. You can then go off and celebrate!
Aug 20
At the start of September, you will take part in an induction to the Centre. This will allow you to get a good feeling of how life at the Centre works and what support is available to you. After two weeks of lessons, we offer a final opportunity for subject changes should you need it.

FAQs
We are able to offer to the vast majority of applicants who apply to us by the deadline. In recent years, we have been oversubscribed and have operated a waitlist, but if you get your application in on time this will give you the best chance of securing an offer. More detail can be found in our admissions policy.
Where two applications are registered, we will action the one with the earliest time/date unless you advise us otherwise.
No, we welcome a large number of students from around the city and beyond each year. If you join us as an external student, you are in good company. - Will I be able to change my course choices after sending the application? Yes! We build in plenty of opportunities for this, including your application discussion meeting where you will have a guidance conversation with an experienced member of our Post 16 team.
Firstly, don't worry too much, You have plenty of time and can change your mind along the way. Attend one of our open events if you can, as well as making use of the subject films on the NBP16 website. It's also useful to speak to your current teachers and review your latest progress reports / predicted grades against our entry criteria.
There is loads of information on our website, including a short film which will give you a good feel of life at NBP16.
