Welcome to Abbeywood Community School

Abbeywood Community School is proud to offer Post 16 students an opportunity to continue their studies with us in Years 12 and 13.

We are firmly committed to our students and their development as learners and future leaders within our community.

We welcome applications from all students who wish to study Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications.

We have developed a fantastic array of dedicated facilities for our Post 16 students. Alongside the quality teaching and learning provided by our staff there has never been a more perfect time to join us!

We strive to provide the best opportunities and learning experiences by working closely with the students to identify their individual learning needs and to teach them the skills to allow them to reach their potential.

All Abbeywood Post 16 students have a dedicated tutor, who over the full two years will provide pastoral care and support for a student's time at Abbeywood. Our pastoral care program involves regular mentoring sessions to guide our students during this important time in their lives. The school also provides dedicated advice and guidance for future employment, independent living and University applications through a superb core programme. The aim is to equip our students with the core competencies needed for life after Post 16 in an exciting and innovative way.

Our Post 16 Centre is growing from strength to strength, being recognised in the last two years as one of the top Post 16 centres in the local authority.

With an extensive range of academic and vocational courses and outstanding and quality teaching on offer, we can provide the perfect spring board into employment or University.

We hope this website can provide answers to any questions you may have and please feel free to contact me if you have further questions. Otherwise I look forward to meeting you and for you to become part of the Abbeywood Post 16 community.

Regards

Mr Richard Williams| Director of Post 16
