I am currently in year 13, and I do A-level English Literature, History and Sociology. The support at Fulham Cross Sixth Form is amazing - teachers are always willing to help, and it is clear how passionate they are about their respective subjects. Opportunities are endless - my phone is constantly buzzing with new work experience and enrichment activities. Events such as the Careers Fair and the Mock Interview Day really help to prepare us for future endeavours outside sixth form, and there is a strong emphasis on being prepared for whatever you may want to do after year 13, be it university, apprenticeships, or heading into the world of work. However, perhaps the most amazing thing at Fulham Cross Academy for me is the sense of family. The atmosphere really does feel like that of a little family - they will help me throughout whatever I am going through, be it my panic attacks, my rare heart condition, and my heart surgery. Knowing that I have such amazing support really helps to ease the pressures that come with the hard work of 2 years at sixth form. There is a belief often spread through secondary schools that attending your school's sixth form somehow makes you weak and you only attend it because you don't have the grades to go anywhere else. I too fell into the trap of this belief, and began year 12 at another college. However, after having now spent over a year at Fulham Cross Sixth form, I am confident that deciding to come here was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I truly believe that the rare familial feel and endless support is what sets Fulham Cross Academy apart, and makes it a great choice for anyone looking for a place where they can thrive and become the best and most confident versions of themselves.
