Welcome to St Joseph's Catholic Academy

We are extremely proud of our welcoming and inclusive sixth form. Making choices about your education after aged 16 can be a daunting feeling. Making sure you make the right choice, where you will be supported both academically and pastorally, is essential for allowing you to be the best version of yourself. At St Joseph’s every sixth form student is known, you will never be just a face in a sea of faces. We have an experienced and exceptional pastoral team who will be with you for every step of your journey. We have a wide range of curriculum subjects to choose from including traditional A Levels and vocational courses. Our sixth form teaching staff have expert subject knowledge, and many are examiners in their subjects. We have high expectations for all our students, and we go the extra mile in supporting you in reaching them. Please see our course booklet for full information on the courses we offer. Enrichment is also central to the sixth form experience. We run a wide range of enrichments for you to choose from; some are just for fun such as Functional Spanish whilst others offer an extra qualification or UCAS points, such as the Arts Gold Award. Students are also given the opportunity to partake in the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award in addition to trips including Morocco and China. We are dedicated to providing opportunities to help you develop into mature, independent, young adults ready for the ‘real’ world.Whether you are a current year 11 student or are from a different school, we look forward to working with you and being part of your journey.
