HomeSchool Profile

Welcome to Regency High School

Regency High School Sixth Form aims to provide all students with opportunities to develop their independence and equip them with the skills they need for life beyond school. At Regency, we recognise the need to adapt the focus of our curriculum at sixth form to reflect the importance of preparing the students for adulthood. The programmes of study therefore reflect the need to build on the student’s existing skills and to apply them in real life situations. There is a shift of focus from subject specific learning to a more contextualised approach. The opportunities we offer all students are based on developing a more functional use of skills in context-based situations. The purpose here being to prepare them for adulthood by being as independent as they can be and to be a valued and integrated member of their community.
