Welcome to St Gregory's Catholic School

St Gregory’s has a well-established Sixth Form based on its Catholic ethos and academic success. We aim to provide our students with the skills, qualifications and personal values to enter the world of higher education and employment. As a Catholic school, we believe that each student has individual strengths. We encourage students to be aware of these gifts and we work with our students to help them realise their individual potential. Our Christian values of community provide a firm foundation for Sixth Formers to achieve this potential. The transition from Year 11 into the Sixth Form requires students to adjust quickly to a new form of study. This can be difficult. Students find this transition is eased at St Gregory’s, in part because many are already familiar with the school and its teachers, but also because of our caring, supportive approach. St Gregory’s Sixth Form is a popular choice not least because of its strong academic reputation. We offer a curriculum suited to the individual needs of all students. Students are taught to take responsibility for their own learning, and to support each other and younger students. They are encouraged to look to the future, and to view their time in the Sixth Form as preparation for higher education and employment. The Sixth Form is a happy and successful community of young adult learners.Mrs A Morrissey Head of Sixth Form
