Grow Beyond the Classroom. Sixth Form at Cedars Martin isn’t just about grades — it’s about building confidence, leadership, and real-world skills that prepare you for life after 18. Whether you're heading to university, an apprenticeship, or straight into work, our enrichment programme helps you stand.

EXTENDED PROJECT QUALIFICATION
A number of our students take the opportunity to pursue their own personal study during Post 16 and gain an additional qualification. They research a question, produce a report and then give a presentation to a panel. The EPQ is led by a teacher who specialises in research.
COACHING PROGRAMME
Students at Cedars Martin have the opportunity to train as coaches, and support younger members of the school who may be facing challenges, and need coaching through it. The scheme has been really successful, with both coaches and coaches getting a lot out of it.
READING PROGRAMME
We offer our students the opportunity to support younger students with their literacy skills during tutor time. There are also opportunities for students to support children in our feeder primary schools in developing their maths and literacy skills.
SOCIETIES AND SPORTS
Students can take part in several societies such as, Musical Theatre and Chess Club. We also offer the opportunity for students to start their own society or club. Some have formed a small group who run table tennis tournaments.
NATIONAL CITIZEN SERVICE
We actively encourage our students to complete the National Citizen Service programme and work with NCS to run bespoke programmes in term time for our Post 16 learners.
Leadership and Volunteering
From coaching and mentoring to volunteering during tutor time, you’ll have the chance to support younger students, build your confidence, and gain valuable experience for future applications.
