McAuley Sixth Formers celebrate strong A level results year after year! consistently ranking among the top performing Sixth Forms in the locality

Students achieve the qualifications at the grades required to progress onto their chosen pathways in employment, apprenticeships or university  including Oxbridge, other Russell Group institutions and prestigious universities abroad.

 We take great pride in our exemplary pastoral care. In the McAuley Sixth Form, you will be treated as an adult, fostering your growth into a confident  and independent individual. Sixth Form is your opportunity to Shine, and you will be guided and supported to progress with the qualifications and  personal qualities necessary to achieve your aspirations.

In recent years, we have broadened our curriculum to ensure that you can continue your education with us whatever your starting point. In recent years, we have added vocational A-level equivalent courses such as: Dance, Applied Law, Creative iMedia and new for September Btec Music Performance, whilst maintaining a highly academic pathway. Additionally and increasingly popular, students can also take an Extended Project Qualification, undertake Work Experience, and sign up to enrichment qualifications including British Sign Language, and First Aid. We offer an excellent one-year Foundation Year Program which provides a unique provision to enable those students that need to resit GCSE English Language and Maths and attain additional qualifications ahead of embarking on a level 3 pathway or apprenticeship, can do just that.

On average class sizes of around 13! This affords students the attention and support required to achieve their true potential.

Flexible Learning allows you to develop time management skills and encourages independence and responsibility. Our 1:1 Academic Mentoring provides you with a personal mentor who will meet with you for Mental Health & Wellbeing as well as Academic support.

Our highly dedicatedexperienced tutors are committed to helping you develop your talents in all aspects of academic, cultural, spiritual and social life. Numerous extra- curricular opportunities in performing arts, outdoor pursuits, DofE, Public Speaking, charitable events and many more. There really is something for everyone and all in a recently refurbished Sixth Form Graduate Centre with new facilities and Wi-Fi for Sixth Formers only!
