Welcome to Blessed George Napier Catholic School and Sixth Form

Welcome to Blessed George Napier Catholic School. Our mission is to be a thriving hub of faith and learning with Christ at its centre. We are dedicated to nurturing every student academically, spiritually and personally within a caring Catholic community.Rooted in faith and driven by purpose, we are committed to fulfilling our powerful vision for our school community.Guided by Christ’s teachings, we are a vibrant Catholic community where every student is deeply valued, inspired to pursue excellence, grow in faith, embrace curiosity and rise with resilience to shape a better world. This vision is at the heart of everything we do at BGN. Rooted in our Catholic mission, we strive to develop the God-given potential in every young person. We work in close partnership with families, parishes and the wider community to support each student as they grow in character, confidence and understanding.Daily prayer, weekly assemblies and regular Masses bring our community together in joyful worship, reminding us of Christ’s presence in our lives and learning. Our faith is not only expressed in worship, but also in the way we treat one another – with respect, compassion and integrity.Academically, BGN continues to thrive. In 2025, 77% of students achieved at least Grade 4 in both English and Maths; results that consistently exceed national averages. Our teachers have high aspirations for every student and our Sixth Form is flourishing. Students progress to top universities and competitive apprenticeships in subjects as diverse as medicine, economics, engineering and the arts.We are equally proud of the opportunities our students enjoy beyond the classroom; from sports and Duke of Edinburgh, to music, drama and leadership roles, there is something for every interest and talent. Our youth choir has toured internationally, our drama productions continue to impress, and our Sixth Form pilgrimage to Lourdes remains a spiritual highlight for both staff and students.Pastoral care is a priority at BGN. We are blessed with a dedicated team who work closely with students to ensure they feel safe, supported and valued. Ofsted recognised this in their last inspection commenting: “Pupils are keen to be part of this thoughtful and inclusive school... enjoying learning and showing kindness are part of everyday life”.Our Diocesan Inspection judged our Catholic life as ‘Outstanding’, noting that: “Students are encouraged to develop their considerable gifts and talents and to be of service to others… Pupils speak very highly of all the staff who are approachable and compassionate”.BGN is a joyful, purposeful community, united by faith and committed to excellence. We are proud of our students, grateful for our staff and confident in our future.May God continue to bless this very special school.Mr Sean Masterson – HeadteacherMr Fraser Long – Chief Executive Officer Mr Paul Concannon - Chair of Board of Directors
