His time at UTC Leeds helped lay the foundation for this path, giving him the opportunity to build both the technical knowledge and the analytical mindset needed for success in the tech industry. At UTC Leeds, we’re proud to support students in turning their passions into real-world careers. Nathaniel joined us with a strong interest in design, and during their time here, that passion flourished—leading them to pursue a career as a design engineer. Thanks to the hands-on experience gained at UTC Leeds, including extensive use of industry-standard software, Nathaniel now works with 2D modelling tools to create, test, and run simulations on production components. Their work is a clear reflection of the technical skill, creativity, and problem-solving mindset developed during their time at our school. Nathaniel is a brilliant example of where determination and the right learning environment can lead—and we’re excited to see how their journey continues.

Emily’s passion for geography laid the foundation for her career in construction project management. A graduate of UCT Leeds, she now thrives in a role where she brings the built environment to life—combining spatial insight, practical problem-solving, and a deep appreciation for how places shape people. With each project, Emily turns plans into places that make a lasting impact!
