Welcome to Edmonton County School

Welcome to Edmonton County School’s Sixth FormOur Sixth Form aims to enable all our students to secure what they need to pursue their chosen goals. Sixth Form education is a stepping-stone to a variety of future possibilities from Further and Higher Education to training and ultimately employment. To that end we aim to be a truly inclusive Sixth Form which provides guidance and courses suited to the individual learning needs and goals for each student. Our Sixth Form environment ensures all our students feel valued, happy, and able to develop. Support is provided for the personal and social development of each Sixth Former, so that they may acquire the skills and qualities of leadership, resilience, initiative, and responsibility. Our underlying aim, is to make that time that students spend in our sixth form as challenging, rewarding, stimulating and as fun as possible. Academic work forms the core of our Sixth Form provision, but we place equal emphasis on providing opportunities for the development of the whole individual, for example our students are given the opportunity to volunteer in their community as well as experience the world of work. Our Sixth Formers are young adults and can expect to be treated accordingly, the Edmonton County motto Non Nobis Solum – Not for ourselves alone, underpins the value that each member of the sixth form student body has as role models of the school.
