Former student, Cara Collins, is currently studying at the University of Bath where she is on the England Pathway programme. Cara is loving her time at university where she is studying sports performance and is now training in top class facilities. In her first year, Cara won bronze in the British University Championships Mixed Doubles. She also won two bronze medals in the U19 National Championships in Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
We believe that genuine excellence extends far beyond academic achievement. Through our enrichment programme, student leadership opportunities and community involvement initiatives, we cultivate the attributes that universities and employers genuinely value: intellectual curiosity, resilience, empathy, and the confidence to lead.

Community Involvement
Students in Liskeard Sixth Form are encouraged to play a positive role in the local community. This can take all forms: from being the Mace bearer for the local Mayor to stewarding at local events that are open to the public.
University Visits
Being able to visit universities on open days really helps students to decide on their choices. To help with this, we run trips to visit universities and open days. These include Bristol and Cardiff open days; visits to Imperial, Westminster and UCL.
Sporting Excellence
Many of our students play sport at club level. Some progress on to play at county, regional and national levels. We encourage our students to strive and be the best they can be. To support this, we adapt timetables so that training can take place as well as enabling them to go off to compete in their various sports.
