Welcome to Sprowston Community Academy

"Our Sixth Form is built on excellent, supportive relationships. Every student is fully supported on their journey, both academically and pastorally. Academic excellence is the core of our mission. We are dedicated to nurturing a culture of learning and achievement, providing students with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential and prepare them for a bright future. Our 'work hard, play hard' culture is the driving force behind all that we do. Although our main focus is high achievement, we recognise the value and importance of experiences outside the classroom. The Sprowston Sixth Form Curriculum is filled with many engaging enrichment opportunites to develop personal skills, give back to the community and activities to enjoy and share with friends."Head of Sixth Form - Mel Kersey

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Our developing enrichment programme offers a fantastic balance to student's academic studies. The additional activities available provide students with an opportunity to develop key skills that will enable them to take the next step in future careers. Opportunities available range from additional academic qualifications that offer UCAS credits to opportunities and experiences that will enrich your CV.

Sports and leisure opportunities
We have Sixth Form representative teams for football, netball, basketball and handball. Students also have access to our fitness suite during lunchtimes and free periods.
Work Experience
During Year 12, all students will undertake a week long work experience. This is an opportunity for students to gain a better understanding of potential career paths and develop key skills.
Student Ambassadors
There are opportunities through the enrichment programme for Sixth Form students to work within the main school. This could be in a variety of roles such as, in class support, mentoring younger students or being a reading 'buddy'. The skills gained during volunteering are an excellent way to enhance CV's and personal statements.
