Welcome to King Edward VI College

KE6 is a welcoming, supportive and ground breaking college – a college that is built on delivering success for all. As a long-established provider of sixth form education in the region, we are passionate about providing the highest quality student experience, delivered by committed staff who believe wholeheartedly in our values of always being ambitious, supportive, genuine and involved.

As a college we are proud of our history and tradition. Our goal is to provide a truly 21st century education built upon innovation, creativity, academic rigour, personal development and a belief in the potential of every person. As an organisation we are forward facing and focused on providing both the qualifications and skills needed to unlock the most successful futures possible. Our aim is to develop people who can go out into the world and thrive, having remarkable impact in whatever they choose to do.

We want every student to have the best college experience possible, one they will remember for the rest of their life with great fondness and pride at being part of the KE6 family. We are committed to our students and studying with us should be a rewarding and enriching experience. We aim to have students work alongside staff on all aspects of the college’s operations and future direction. Student leadership and student voice are not add-ons to how we do our work but key components of our institutional DNA. We value student opinions and believe that collaboration is key to all our success.

At KE6 you will be treated as an adult and staff will work with you to maximise your potential. You will be taught more than just course content; we will ensure you develop the skills, experiences and attributes needed to make the most of life and go out into the world with great confidence as one of the leaders, entrepreneurs, adventurers or professionals of tomorrow. At KE6 you get the opportunity to make your ambitions a reality.

This is an exciting time to be a part of KE6. You will be part of a vibrant, diverse community, united in a desire to be the best you can be and make a difference in the world. That is a challenge, as we are looking for people to add to our community, to grow and create something truly unique. If that sounds appealing, we would love to hear from you.

We are part of the Better Futures Multi-Academy Trust with Bilborough Sixth Form College in Nottingham and Gateway College in Leicester. This partnership will enable each college to share best practice and work together to be outstanding, serving over five thousand post-16 students.. We are privileged that the Trust is sponsored by Coventry University, who provide us with knowledge, skills and resources unrivalled in the sixth form sector.

I would invite you to find out more about our wonderful institution. If you are looking to study at the college, why not take a look at the study programmes on our website and see the comprehensive range of courses we offer. Every course is the best in its field and offers progression routes to university, apprenticeships and careers. If you would like to find out what’s happening at college, take a moment to read through our latest news via our viral social media feeds and take the opportunity to visit one of our Open Events to find out how we can help you reach your potential.

We are an ambitious college, with high aspirations for students and ourselves. I am proud to be the Principal of a college which inspires, challenges and supports its young people to gain the skills they need to thrive both now and in the future. I look forward to welcoming you to join us.
