Welcome to North Ridge Community School

Welcome To North Ridge Community School

I am delighted to welcome you to our school.

North Ridge Community School, part of Nexus MAT, is a special day school for pupils aged 3-19 years with severe learning difficulties; with a small cohort of Post 16 pupils being educated at our offsite provision, The Bridge. We fervently believe the children and young people are at the heart of everything we do.

North Ridge is a place where everyone feels welcome, secure and highly valued – and such is promoted through our REACH Values:

RESPECT    ENJOY    ACHIEVE    COMMUNITY    HAPPY AND SAFE

The education we provide is personalised and inclusive of everyone.

Our unique North Ridge Curriculum provides innovative opportunities, inspiring experiences and encourages our children to be learners. This is underpinned by both the Foundation Curriculum and the National Curriculum; including wider opportunities such as Forest School and Duke of Edinburgh.

It is our responsibility to work in partnership with parents to ensure our children and young people develop skills for life. We ensure every student has the best opportunities to flourish.

I am very proud of North Ridge Community School and feel privileged to be working with wonderful children, young people, their parents and carers and a dedicated team of incredibly committed and hardworking professionals – who work relentlessly hard to attain the best possible outcomes for all our students.

Nexus Multi Academy Trust was founded in 2016 and has the highest ambitions possible for everyone we work with. We are a forward thinking and innovative Trust with collaboration, enrichment and improvement enshrined within our day to day practice ensuring that leaners and their families are always at the centre of what we do.

The vision for Nexus is that we are constantly “Learning together, to be the best we can be.” This vision is what we aspire to and is as relatable to every employee and partner of our Trust as it is to our children, young adults and their families.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
