Our sixth form is a modern and aspirational learning community which prides itself on securing positive outcomes for all.As a highly successful local sixth form with a wide variety of A Level and Level 3 BTEC courses, we offer young people from across our local area outstanding opportunities. Year after year our sixth form students achieve excellent exam results, securing places at Britain’s top universities and on competitive degree apprenticeships. It is our responsibility to provide our students with a stepping stone to success, and we are extremely proud to have a long list of former students who are now studying or have graduated from prestigious universities such as Oxford and Cambridge. Our partnership with the highly regarded multi academy trust, The Futures Trust, means that The Hinckley Sixth Form has a bright and exciting future. SSgt Jonathan Whitmore, an alumnus of Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre, was awarded an MBE for his services to British Foreign Policy. A regular guest speaker at the Sixth Form, he frequently visits to inspire Year 12 and 13 Public Service students, sharing insights into his military career and the opportunities available in public service after post-16 education. His achievements and ongoing engagement with the school community have been described as inspiring, informative, and motivating. The entire Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre community expressed immense pride in his recognition and success.

Apprenticeship
Former student Tilly, who completed Year 13 last year, is now undertaking a Level 5 Degree Apprenticeship with Aston Martin. She recently returned to the school alongside her colleague Anna to give presentations to Year 12 and 13 Engineering students, as well as others interested in careers at Aston Martin. They highlighted the company’s wide range of apprenticeship opportunities in areas such as commercial and marketing, IT operations, maintenance, sales and networking development, and supply chain planning. Tilly impressed staff and students with her confidence, enthusiasm, and technical knowledge, showing how quickly she has grown in her new role. She stands as another excellent example of alumni success, embodying the school’s PRIDE values.
