Welcome to Kenwood Academy

Kenwood Academy is a special learning community for neurodiverse young people in South Yorkshire, where everyone belongs and everyone has a voice. All staff, students, families, Governors, Trustees and partners work together as a team to realise our young people's future dreams, opportunities and destinations. We have the highest expectations for engagement, learning and achievement, and a strong culture of inclusion that means no-one is left behind. All our students are wonderful, unique young people. They all have a wealth of talents and achievements to celebrate; and together we all have the highest aspirations for their futures. If your child is interested in attending a club, please let their Tutor Team know who will contact the appropriate member of staff. All students have individualised timetables and transfer from Period 5 to your child's chosen club will be arranged on an individual basis. As the club runs beyond the end of the school day, it is an expectation that parents/carers of students attending will arrange appropriate arrangements for their child getting home. We know this may cause difficulties for some families, so please get in touch with your Tutor Team if this is the case. The school will help wherever possible.
