At Sturminster Newton High School's Sixth Form, we firmly believe in nurturing individual talents, cultivating curiosity, and preparing students for life beyond Sixth Form. Why do we do what we do? We start with the 'why' - fostering a love for learning and nurturing unique individual talents. For us, it's not just about what we do but why we do it. This belief leads us to maintain small class sizes, which facilitate a great deal of personal attention and encourage a thriving, close-knit community. We want to know each student well, to provide the right guidance for their academic path and beyond. 

Our Sixth Form curriculum isn't just about the 20+ A Levels, BTEC National Courses, Extended Project Qualifications, and Level 2 transition courses we offer. It's about creating a platform where students can explore their passions, question the world, and ignite their intellectual curiosity. 

Our tutor program, which goes beyond the ordinary, helps students develop their academic experience and global awareness. The aim is not just to prepare students for their exams, but also to equip them with a deep understanding of the world they are about to influence. 

It's not only about progression to prestigious universities and competitive courses like medicine, veterinary, and dentistry, it's about guiding our students to find their true calling, to make choices that align with their passions and dreams. 

Our opportunities for learning extend beyond the classroom walls and are not confined to the local or national level. From exploring Southern Africa on a World Challenge expedition to fundraising thousands for local and national causes, we believe in providing experiences that broaden horizons and instil a global perspective.
