Martin Nkama
September 2019
Employed
Martin is part of the Cohort 2021 Ada Sixth Form alumnus. Martin’s tech journey began with curiosity and a game-building platform but it was Ada’s sixth form that made a future in tech feel real. With support, mentorship, and industry projects at King and Bank of America, he gained the skills and confidence to thrive. After an apprenticeship at 59A, he’s now a Data Analyst at Meta. Martin now mentors others, proving that with the right support, anything’s possible.
Robbie Mint
September 2019
Apprenticeship
Robbie, who started at Ada approximately six years ago, describes his route to success as “topsy turvy”. After initially struggling with his A-level results and questioning the traditional university path, which was heavily encouraged at his college, he spent a year working various jobs, from laying bricks on building sites to working in restaurants and bars. This period, though challenging and sometimes lonely as his friends went to university, fuelled his motivation to find his own direction.
