Heathermount School
Welcome to Heathermount School
Welcome
On behalf of the students, staff and Governors, we wish you a warm welcome to Heathermount School.
We hope you will find our website interesting and informative and that it gives you an insight into what we’re all about. Our new virtual tour allows you to explore key areas of the school and view our wonderful grounds.
What you won’t get from our website is what it feels like to be part of our school community, a student, a member of staff, a Governor or one of our parents. I have the privilege of working with some amazing and very talented staff who are focused on meeting the needs of our students first and foremost. If we get this right, the learning will follow. Sometimes, this can take time, but we work very closely with the children and families, using our unique setting and the expertise of our therapists to unlock the potential of all our students.
We work as a team, celebrate success, have high expectations, challenge ourselves and constantly learn from our students, parents and each other. We never stop learning and always look to improve.
We also laugh, smile, scratch our heads, have some tough days, feel amazed, proud and tired but always look forward to the next day!
Best wishes
