Welcome to The Russett School- Special School

Welcome to Post 16At The Russett School, we have designed a balanced Post 16 curriculum framework based on clearly defined individual teaching programmes, appropriately targeted group work and carefully planned opportunities for our students to consolidate, and extend their skills to ensure that they leave us being as independent as possible. Throughout our 14-19 'Moving On' (Equals) Curriculum young adults and make the significant step from a Pre-16 to a Post-16 model of education, designed to prepare for life after Russett. Our 'Moving On' curriculum offers opportunities for our students to develop their learning, functional and personal skills in real-life settings in the academy, the workplace and college placements. The curriculum includes both accreditation and assessment routes that suit all learners’ abilities and runs alongside our Careers and Work Experience programme.
