Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils, It is my pleasure to introduce the Key Stage 5 Options Booklet for 2024 – 26 which details the curriculum and opportunities at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg. There is a long tradition of academic excellence and student commitment in our Sixth Form, and we are constantly evolving so that it goes from strength to strength. We strive to be as inclusive as possible and to review our curriculum offer annually so that we can provide for all our students. The decision to continue in our school to study in the Sixth Form is a significant investment on your part, as parents. Our promise to you is that we will continue with our high expectations, set within our Welsh culture, and our high standard of care for your children. We will work tirelessly to help your child to reach their mountain top, be that employment, apprenticeships or university. Our staff know and understand the pupils, and through teaching them in small groups in the Sixth Form that relationship is only strengthened. We want our pupils to be members of the school and the local community and there are endless opportunities for them to contribute and to feel that sense of belonging. This is aided by our outstanding extra-curricular opportunities to complement the excellent standards of teaching and learning in the classroom. Finally, the school itself has become a modern building, full of potential. The resources we can now offer ensure that your child will be able to study independently, to take advantage of state-of-the-art sporting facilities, and to socialise comfortably in the Sixth Form areas. The Sixth Form will lead all other pupils, and as such are a vital part of the fabric of the school.
