Dear Learner, 

Now that you are coming to the end of your compulsory schooling, you will be faced with making very important decisions which will impact on your future and long term prospects. 

Many of you may choose to follow subjects offered at your home school. However, others may wish to follow courses offered elsewhere. 

In some circumstances there could be a clash of subjects on your timetable, or a subject that is not running at your school, and rather than making alternative choices you now have the opportunity to follow your preferred subject at another education centre.

LINC Conwy was established in September 2011 and included every High School in Conwy and Coleg Llandrillo working together in order to offer as much choice as possible for post-16 learners. This arrangement has been successful as demonstrated in learners’ examination results, ESTYN Reports and a Welsh Government review of post-16 education. Wherever you choose to study, your progress will be closely monitored and regular updates provided to your home school. 

All educational centres have excellent facilities for post 16 learners and wherever you choose to attend, you will be given both academic and personal support in order to ensure that you have every opportunity to succeed. Learners who follow a course of study at college or another school as part of LINC Conwy have relished the experience, and this could be the case for you too.
