Welcome to the Sixth Form at King Edward’s We are pleased to extend the warmest of welcomes to all post-16 students who would like to join our Sixth Form. Whilst many of our sixth formers are ‘homegrown’ in that they completed their GCSE courses at King Edward’s, we can guarantee that students from other local secondary schools will also be made to feel at home if they choose to study with us. The school’s heritage may go all the way back to 1551, but our focus is very much on preparing the students we work with for the future. We have a long history of focusing on the holistic development of our students, which will continue, but with an enhanced programme of additional courses some of which are brand new for the 2025-26 academic year. Our staff successfully deliver traditional A-Level subjects to the highest possible level as evidenced by the excellent results achieved by our former students. By blending these wellestablished routes into higher education with a range of BTEC programmes we are confident that we’ll be able to help you to plan a programme of study that suits your needs now and in the future.
