Year 12 Unit 1: Human Growth and Development - This unit is externally assessed by examinations at the end of year 12. You will learn about the stages of human development and the factors that can negatively impact on normal development, link to social care practice. Unit 3: Principals of Social Care and Practice - This is internally assessed via a series of reports focused on the principals and health and social care practice. You will be selecting, analysing and evaluating relevant information to address the tasks you have been set. Year 13 Unit 2: Human Biology - In this unit you will study the organisation of the human body into cells, tissues, organs and organ systems. You will also look at the impact of disease on the body systems. This unit is externally assessed via an examination at the end of year 13.
