In Year 12, Biology students follow a practical-based scheme of learning that aims to prepare students wishing to pursue scientific or medical study at the country’s leading universities whilst also delivering a deep knowledge base and skillset for those who may explore other possibilities. By the end of Year 12, students will have completed all of the first-year units and have a strong start on the ecology topic. The scheme of learning is carefully integrated with the five assessment points in the College calendar, and this provides key information on student progress when we encourage reflection and revision. This course prepares students for continuing their scientific study at the undergraduate level as well as developing a wide range of personal and academic skills and attitudes.
