In the Sixth Form, students of English Literature continue to develop and apply the knowledge, understanding and skills they gained at KS4 English Literature. They are encouraged to engage critically with a wide range of literature and reflect on how literature is used in the expression of personal and collective identities. Through the components of the course, we aim for our students to explore and develop their own strengths in literary analysis and foster a love of literature from all backgrounds. By the end of the Key Stage, they should possess the skills and understanding needed to access higher education and university degree courses in English Literature and related subjects, as well as related careers.
