Assessment

The units Principles and Applications of Science I and II are assessed by a short terminal examination. The units of Science Investigation Skills and Contemporary Issues in Science as assessed through a task set by BTEC and externally marked. All other units are assessed by a range of assignments which can take the form of report, posters, presentations or similar. GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications are assessed through external examination and portfolio work.
