Study of earlier periods of English and more modern areas such as social media COMPONENT 3 – CREATIVE AND CRITICAL USE OF LANGUAGE – 20% – 1HR 45 MINS EXAM. Creative writing – fiction and non-fiction texts. COMPONENT 4 – LANGUAGE AND IDENTITY – 20% A language investigation into a topic of your choice.
