By large, practial and theory exams. You may also be required to produce assignments/homework/tasks to a deadline. Personal appearance is part of the awarding body's criteria. You will be expected to adhere to a strict dress code: no jewellery, long hair tied back, short un-varnished nails and a specified uniform to be worn.
