Assessment

There are 3 Externally assessed papers. Paper 1 is multiple choice and does not allow the use of a calculator. Paper 2 comprises of short and extended response questions on all the topics, and Paper 3 has questions on experimental skills. The great thing about the IB Physics course is that your Internal Assessment (worth 24%) is based on an experiment that you design, plan and carry out yourself. The experiment is usually based on an interest you have. In the past we have had students investigating guitar strings, rollercoasters and ballet dancing!
