Assessment

Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Writing: Written Paper, 1 hour 50 minutes – 40% of total marks. This includes listening and responding, reading and responding and translating into English. Paper 2: Writing: Written Paper, between 2 hours and 2 hours 45 minutes – 30% of marks. This includes translation into the target language, literary extended response to texts and written extended response to works. Paper 3: Speaking: Oral exam of approximately 20 minutes, – 30% of marks. This includes a discussion of a studied topic and a presentation and discussion of a researched topic. The research project can be chosen from any topic or theme. IRP:- Choose a topic and do research. This is presented to the examiner in the speaking exam.
