Course summary

This course explores the enormous range of modern Biology, exploring the units including: DNA, proteins, enzymes, viruses and cell ultrastructure; circulatory systems and respiratory systems in a wide range of organisms; cell division and reproduction in mammals and plants; nutrition in plants and animals, homeostasis and kidneys; ecology and the environment; evolution and the creation of new species. The course includes extensive practical and microscopy work.
