Course summary
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a level 3 qualification and is worth half an A-level (28 UCAS points). The EPQ encourages students to complete a largely self-directed, independent project. They take responsibility for the choice and design of their project which can either be a 5000-word written essay or an artefact with an accompanying report. Students can tailor their projects to fit their individual needs, choices and aspirations with the agreement of their supervisor. By completing the EPQ students will mature into critical, reflective and independent learners and develop decision-making and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for students to participate in an enrichment activity that will directly benefit their university application and future studies.
