Course summary

The course comprises four units — ➢ Human Interactions explores human rights and global migrations, social inequality and economic change. ➢ Physical Systems investigates coastal environments and Earth’s life support systems, such as the carbon and hydrological cycle. ➢ Geographical Debates covers tectonic hazards and the management of disease around the world. ➢ Investigative Geography involves conducting primary research, leading to the creation of a report on a geographical issue of your choice. To prepare you for the investigative unit, you will have a number of opportunities to carry out fieldwork in the local area. There is also the option for a field trip to Iceland every other year.
