Sociology appeals to the curious, to those who like to question and ask why. Quite literally, Sociology is the study of society, and it examines how invisible structures such as class, gender, ethnicity and age still play a role in the social structure. In an age of what some might call increasing uncertainty, Sociology provides theories that help us understand why the world is as it is.
GCSE Sociology Grade 5 (or GCSE English Grade 5 if Sociology not previously studied).
The A Level will be assessed by 3 x 2 hour exams at the end of year 13 on study areas A, B and C.
