You will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques essential for successful performance in working life. You will develop the communication skills needed for working in the business sector. Take your first steps towards a career in business with this full-time study programme taught by dedicated professionals. Four core units: completed in Year 1 • Exploring businesses • Developing a marketing campaign • Managing a business event • Personal and business finance Plus optional units in Customer Service, and Recruitment and Selection. Units: completed in year 2 • International business • Principles of management • Business decision making • Work Experience in Business • Plus options two further optional units
5 GCSEs grade 9-4, including English and maths OR Level 2 qualification with Merit grade, plus Level 2/grade 9-4 in English and maths
Assessments will also be varied to ensure you have every opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge. You may be assessed through practical tasks, short-answer questions, research tasks, written assignments, producing visual displays such as leaflets, observations of role-play. Level 3 students may also undertake research, case studies and investigations, presenting your findings in a variety of formats such as reports, brochures and presentations that you might find in working situations within the industry. At level 3 there are two examined units per year.
