Assessment

- The new A level in Mathematics is a prescribed course. All pupils have to study Pure Mathematics which forms the majority of the course and also some Mechanics and some Statistics - The course requires pupils to have a calculator that has: an iterative function, the ability to compute summary statistics and access probabilities from standard statistical distributions and for Further Mathematicians the ability to perform calculations with matrices up to at least order 3 x 3 - Assessment is at the end of the course and has 3 two hour papers.
