Why study this course? A highly academic subject, history will help you to understand the significance of past events, the role of individuals in history and the nature of change over time. The aim of the course is to gain a deeper understanding of the past through political, social, economic, and cultural perspectives. What interests should you have? If you have an interest in engaging in topics that will extend your understanding of how the past has influenced the present, then history is the subject for you. Throughout the course, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to analyze and evaluate sources, interpret historical events, and understand the significance of this on the period studied. What will the course cover? There are two specific time periods that you study in History: The Tudors and Germany. This course will study in breadth, issues of change, continuity, cause, and consequence in this period.
