Course summary

English Literature A Level is for voracious readers, confident analysts and students who enjoy critically thinking about different perspectives and the world around them. You will study a range of inspirational set texts that we have chosen to fuel enthusiastic discussions on literature and the dialogue between texts over genres and time. You will study a range of plays, novels and poetry whilst looking at critical articles to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the language and perspectives writers are crafting. There is a good deal of reading and essay writing in this course but we will support you in how you manage this and are passionate about helping you achieve the highest standards of essay writing for the exams.
