Level A2 Component 1 : Devising Mode of assessment : Practical devised piece based on a stimuli with supporting written coursework Weighting A2: 40% 60 marks for portfolio 20 marks for practical piece Level A2 Component 2 : Text in performance Mode of assessment : Practical devised piece based on a stimuli with supporting written coursework Weighting A2: 20% 60 marks Level A2 Component 3 : Theatre Makers in Practice Mode of assessment :Written exam 2 hours 30 minutes Live Theatre Evaluation Page to Stage: realising a performance text Interpreting a performance text Weighting A2 : 40% 80 marks At the start of the course we will have an introduction to key skills and figures in the world of theatre to ensure you have a good grounding for the next two years. You will be expected to prove that you deserve your place on the course during this time. To get ahead you should be doing further reading and preparing notes on a key practitioner. Details of practitioner can be found later on in this guide. The following Study Guide must be brought to each lesson as it contains various resources you will need to refer to and use during your course.
