Assessment

Both courses are assessed via a combination of: •Internally assessed coursework (IC) •Externally assessed coursework (EC) – A task set and marked by the exam board and completed under supervised conditions. Learners will be given a context before a supervised assessment period in order to carry out research. Written exam set by the exam board (E) Option 1: Edexcel National Extended Certificate in Business Learners must complete the following THREE compulsory units: 1. Exploring Business (IC) 2. Develop a marketing campaign (EC) 3. Personal and business finance – (E) They will then complete the following ONE option units: 4.
