Assessment

Three exams at the end of Year 13 — each exam is 2 hours and worth 33% of the final A-level mark. There is no coursework element. The types of exam questions include multiple choice, short answer, application questions and extended writing. Students will be taught 11 modules within the A-level course, such as Social Influence, Memory, Attachment, Psychopathology and Biopsychology. There is a focus on scientific knowledge (particularly Biology) and Maths skills (taught within the Research Methods module).
